Is Redirection Possible After A User Logging in? 2 Years, 9 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello,

I'm a newbye in here and I have just installed your plugin.
Compared to other similar extensions it seems to be the first to work with me.

I need to know if I may set a page redirection, from a webpage to another in the same website, that has to work only for a logged in user.

In other words the same user not logged in when clicking on the same link does not have to be redirected.

That is the redirection has to work only for all users logged in when clicking on a specific link and does not when not logged in, when clicking on the same link.

Bye.

Hi,

Unfortunately this is not an option currently within this plugin, however it is a good idea. The module was originally developed to cover a requirement we had for redirecting pages, and this is as far as it has been developed. So any ideas on how to improve this plugin are greatly received.

We will look into adding this feature, it should not be too difficult.

Which version of Joomla are you using? we are currently tweaking the plugin to work natively with Joomla 1.5 in preparation of Joomla 1.6, which means we may stop actively adding extra features to the Joomla 1.0/1.5 legacy version.

Many Thanks

Thank you for your reply; I'm using the joomla 1.5.10 release.

Yesterday I have found something to do what I need: www.greatjoomla.com/tutorials/core-desig...ect-my-articles.html

To tell the truth it seems not so easy and I think your implementation will be much more better in terms of ease of use.

Let me know about your new your new release as soon as will be available; I'm building up a reseaerch governative website and we are very intersted in easy to manage extensions; GPL of course.

Take a look: www.igv.cnr.it/site-1.5.8 (working hours: 9,30 to 18,30 pm time zones +2).

Thank you very much for your interest.

Hi,

We have altered the code for our Joomla 1.5 Native version of the plugin to look for extra command code within an article. If you wish to try it it has been attached to this post.

To use it you need to use the following:

{sbdredirect id:18 userid:19}

To redirect a logged in user you just need to add the word 'user' in front of the exisiting commands. For example:

{sbdredirect userhttp:www.simplebydesign.co.uk}

You can mix and match commands so a guest gets redirected to another article and a logged in user redirected to a completely different website for example.

Let us know how it works.

Many Thanks

Great, about the fast availability of your updated plugin! It would be even greater to make that feature available from: a single user in a group to a group of user.

That is, making possible to redirect one specific user only with his previleges (pubblisher, author or else) to a specific article or content item.

Anyway as soon as your plugin update will be available on the joomla directory new extensions, I'll leave you a very positive feedback!

Finally the latest version (Joomla 1.5 native) is listed on the Joomla Directory - * WINK WINK *

Is the plugin working as required?

We are looking at making it work based on user priviledges and hope to have a new release shortly...

Many Thanks
