Ok, I think I have cracked it, it appears to be working on my test site correctly now (viewable here - I've hard coded the search term in the java script) and all appears correctly.

If you can re-download the mambot (Download) and try it again and let me know.

well its certainly fixed the content header issue etc.

I'll report back as soon as google indexes my new site and I can test the actual highlighting.

well i need your help,
im facing a problem
i need a hightlist facility in my site search module.could u please suggest me what module should i use or where in the coding part should i make the chanegs.i have been trying it since past 2 weeks but all in vain,kindly help me out.
NOTE: IT SHOULD BE FOR SITE SEARCH NOT WEB SEARCH
