Hello,

I downloaded the last version of the menu and intalled it.

1 good news : it still validate to W3C > cool (thanks Matthiew

but sub level doesn't want to stay open when cliquing a link.

Is there an issue i would have missed in the forum.

web site is at this place : migne-auxances.fr/jooMIGNE0109

Hi,

Just had a quick look at your site, looking nice as usual. With regard to the menu can I check one configuration value, from the debug code it appears that one menu option maybe incorrectly set. If you can change the parameter below:

Expand Top Menu - set this to Yes

After trying this please let me know if it helps.

Many Thanks,
Matthew

PS - don't worry about the english (fully understandable), I've done worse -

Hi Matthew,
Thanks a lot for your answer...

well,

no change

I'm not sure i was so clear in my post...
let me discrib exactly the subject :

step 1
when you first time clic on an item in the left menu > for example "projets"
>>> the menu expand an show the sub levels... > so cool

step 2
you choose and clic an item in the sub level > for ex. "jeunesse et sports"
>>> the right side of the page switch to the target page > so cool

but the menu (on the left) come back to its initial aspect "hidding sub level".
(only main levels are visibles)
Thats my problem in fact.

So : is this possible ?

the sub menu stay open (step2) in the same position until you clic to another (sub or main level in the menu.

I join a screen catch of the module configuration.

many thanks
Arnaud

Hi,

In short the menu should open as you want, the option I asked you to enable technically should have enabled the feature. Without boring you too much, looking through the debug code and HTML code everything appears to be in place and the right menu id being called on page load - the problem appears that the javascript is not running.

Can you please try the following and let me know what happens, your help would be much appreciated:

1) Change 'Mouse Over Action' to use Original (a tags) - does this do anything?
2) Please try disabling the modules: 'rok?' modules and the Simple Image Rotator module - this both run javascript, at least without this I can rule out incompatibilty between these module.

The page I tested was: migne-auxances.fr/jooMIGNE0109/index.php...;id=15&Itemid=15

So I know technically everything is in place.

Many Thanks

So,

"Mouse Over Action to use Original (a tags)> keeps the menu open... cool

> I tryed to disable SIRotator module but nothing changed concerning the menu...
> all the rok's modules disable them too and nothing changed with the menu.

> rok component ?

Using the on mouse over action is not so easy for every users. Some of theme would prefer the "on clic action".

Anyway mouse over is better than "menu switch off at every clic... so we are progressing:lol:

That's now the configuration for the 3 sbd menu in the web site ... I realy love the module ))

I will try some more configuration tests this evening an let you know...

Bye
regards
