Split menu?? 1 Year, 9 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello,

Is it possible to make a split menu with SBD accordion menu? Looked around in menu configurations but couldn't find anything...

1.menu item
1.1 menu item
1.2 menu itme
1.2.1 menu itme <-- I need to display third level items as a different menu in different module position on the site.

Is that possible?

Would be thankful for any guidelines .

B.

Sorry for the stupid question, got the split menu by using the "Problems with multiple menus - Making it work " tutorial and it works great.

But was wondering if it's possible to get the active menu link for the primary menu as well as for the split menu?

Hi,

Unfortuantely not, the menu operates by Itemid created by Joomla which is unique to each menu item and the way this menu works it checks the itemid from the url to that of the menu.

If you could get the itemids to be duplicated it may work.

Sorry this isn't of much help.

Have you figured out how to solve this issue?

I don’t know if my situation is the same. I have three submenus made with the “mod_sbd_rollmenu” and the top main menu made with the original “mod_mainmenu”.

The top menu only has parent items with no subitems. When I click one of them I show an article in which I show the sbd_rollmenu. Doing that I can highlight the main menu option. But when I click on the sbd_rollmenu the active item on my main menu disappears.

Do you know if there is a solution to this problem? It’s not a problem of the sbd_rollmenu, but of the mod_main menu, but maybe someone encountered this problem.

Thank you!
